Hey there, my name is Lynne Bell and I own Blazing Trails K9 Academy. 

We proudly serve passionate dog lovers just like you in the Uintah Basin (Roosevelt, Vernal, Duchesne and beyond), live virtual options worldwide, plus premium board and train /doggy boot camp programs and exclusive concierge serves in Park City, Heber, and across Utah. 

Some trainers will tell you they've seen it all. I actually have!

My journey started in 1985 with a dog-aggressive Doberman named Rusty. The verdict from everyone around me was simple: fix him or get rid of him. I fixed him, and never looked back. Forty years later I've worked in almost every corner of the dog world that exists, and I'm still learning.

Before settling in Utah I spent years in California doing things most trainers never get near. I trained and handled dogs for TV productions, movies, print ads, and live shows. I worked with exotic animals including North American Timber Wolves at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I served as head trainer at a high-end Beverly Hills pet day spa and at California K9, where my world included celebrity clients, serious protection dogs, and some of the best competition trainers anywhere. I competed for over 20 years in Schutzhund/IGP and WDA, earning multiple high titles, High in Trial wins with several dogs across different breeds, and ran a club as training director helping others reach their own competition goals.
I've also spent years giving back to the profession itself, serving as a continuing education representative, externship coordinator, and Subject Matter Expert and curriculum developer for Animal Behavior College, helping shape how the next generation of trainers learns their craft.

My credentials reflect that depth. I hold certifications from IACP and NADOI, the longest-running dog trainer organization in the United States, where membership requires rigorous testing and demonstrated real-world skill, not just course completion. I'm also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and judge AKC Trick Dog titles.

Since founding Blazing Trails K9 Academy in 2000 I've helped thousands of dogs and their families, especially the ones other trainers have struggled with. Aggression, reactivity, fear, anxiety, complex behavior cases that need real experience behind them. Families at the end of their rope. People who want to do more with their dogs than just basic obedience. Handlers who want to compete.

My philosophy is simple: whatever works humanely for that dog. I don't belong to any single camp or trend. I've trained too long and seen too much to believe one method fits every dog. What I bring is a deep, versatile toolkit built over four decades, and the judgment to know which tool fits which situation, applied with patience, clarity, and genuine love for the animals I work with.
I'm based in the Uintah Basin and serve clients throughout Utah, with virtual options available worldwide.
