Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We offer dog training services for obedience, behavior modification, and problem solving for a wide range of issues including but not limited to jumping, chewing, digging, barking, pulling on leash, housetraining, and more advanced issues like aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, fighting with other dogs in the household, fearfulness, shyness, and anxiety. We have options for group classes, private lessons both virtually and in person, board and trains, and daytraining programs.
We are not a one size fits all trainer. We are very long time experienced trainers and have as such, learned a very wide variety of techniques and methods to help you reach your training goals. That said, it has been said we are an iron will in a velvet glove so to speak. We will use as many motivators as your dog finds appealing to get the behaviors, and will help find consequences when needed provided they are humane, kind, and effective but geared towards your specific dogs needs.
The cost of our services varies depending on the type of training and the duration of the sessions. While we offer a wide variety of programs, we can also customize, if you don't see it listed, reach out. Our phone consult is free and we can give you a better idea of the price to work with your individual dogs needs at that time.
15 years ago, we might have said no. But having now done both in person and virtual extensively, we can emphatically state that yes, virtual training works as well and, in some cases, better then in person. All training will require the owner to follow instructions and do the homework in between sessions, during virtual lessons you are learning from the ground floor how to work with your dog in the most effective and humane way. We are experts at coaching our dog handlers, and we can do that in person or virtually. Alot of problems just require consulting, and in virtual, we can often see things we don't always catch in person. Also, the dog is not distracted by our presence so we see things as you see them, in their normal every day life. All programs also come with our "trainer in your pocket" feature. We use the Marco Polo app to allow you to send clips of what you're doing in between sessions so we can help adjust things as needed during the time we are working with you.
Yes. While we do understand that life happens and we strive to be flexible, we do require a card up front and you will be charged a $20.00 cancellation fee if you fail to give 24 hours notice should you need to miss a session. This allows us to have time to book your slot if we need to and we appreciate the consideration. In drop in classes, if you say you will be there and do not show, you will lose the session. Again, we do strive to be flexible, see us for details!
It would be unethical to say we will train your dog and then you will never experience another problem and never have to do any work. Dog training is very much like therapy. A therapist cannot guarantee they can cure you, however they can provide the best assistance possible. We do the same in our dog training. We are extremely experienced, and will tell you if something is not possible. Because we are dealing with living beings, and often dependent on the owners to do the homework, we can't say things will be guaranteed. However, we are here and guarantee we will always lend an ear and provide the best advice possible for the situation. We have designed our programs to achieve the best results.
