Blazing Trails K9 Academy is based right here in the Uintah Basin — one of only two NADOI-certified trainers in the state of Utah, with 40 years of hands-on experience behind it. Private lessons come to you, in your home in Vernal, with your dog in the environment they actually live in.

Private Lessons and Mastery/Foundations programs are run in-home, anywhere in Vernal. Group classes meet weekly in town. And if reactivity or aggression is the issue, that's one of our specialties — not something we hand off to someone else.

Group classes are based out of Animal House Daycare in Vernal, though a lot of sessions head out into town as field trips instead. Winter months usually run Saturdays at noon; spring through early fall usually shifts to Wednesday evenings. Classes aren't open drop-in — every student talks to Lynne first so we can match the right class to your dog.
$175, valid for 14 weeks. The standard way most students run through group classes in Vernal.
$35 for a single class — a good way to try a class before committing to a pack.
$45/month, unlimited classes. Available to program graduates and pre-approved students.
Yes — private lessons are in-home by default. Training your dog where they actually live and act out is usually more useful than a neutral training-center room.
