Roosevelt - Ruffhousing Kennels

This class is a drop in class where you purchase a set of 7 sessions and have 14 weeks from the first class to use all your sessions. We cover basic or advanced exercises. (for friendly dogs only)
Recovering Reactives

This class will include a full behavior evaluation, a set of virtual lessons to get started, then weekly in person practice sessions on a monthly membership basis to practice under our experienced trainer.
Private Lessons Virtually
We will meet with you over zoom and provide our training expertise, utilizing videos and verbal instruction where needed! This has proven to be highly effective, don't doubt it till you try it! It allows us to see your dog in their natural element without interference of having a trainer standing in front of them. Then we coach you to be the best possible trainer. As you will have to work with the dog for the remainder of his life, we will teach you the best ways to do this.
Single lesson or virtual eval
These sessions last 1.5 hours and are geared towards evaluating your situation and giving brief advice. We can use it as a set up session for puppies, a problem solving session, or the behavior modification session is geared towards more advanced problems like aggression, separation anxiety, resource guarding, reactivity etc.

Trainer in Your pocket
free with program
This program allows you to stay in touch with your trainer throughout the training program. We use the Marco Polo app to allow you to send quick clips of what the dog is doing, your homework, or any questions you may have during the week so that we can provide feedback and "tweak your program on the fly". This has been highly effective and is meant to give you the ultimate support in your training program! Let us be the trainer in your pocket!
In Person Private Lessons
We will come to you! This program is currently only available in the Uintah Basin in Utah. Prices will change depending on distance or if you come to us.
In person -single session
We will meet you at your location or in a public setting. Single lessons are best for advice on managing situations or evaluating an issue.
Packages Available
We offer a variety of packages geared specifically towards a variety of issues including obedience training, puppy raising, and behavior modification for harder issues like aggression, reactivity or separation anxiety. Daytraining - Roosevelt at Ruffhousing Kennels
Want us to work with your dog but don't want to do a board and train? Drop the dog off at the doggy daycare and we will work with them during their stay. We can also do reverse daytraining (in your home) in the Duchesne area. Fee does NOT include daycare fees, you will need to purchase a daycare pass for those as well.
Single Session

We will go one time to the doggy daycare and provide training services for 1 hour. We can work on maintaining known cues, or start 1-2 new cues (customizable). Fee does not include daycare rate, must be purchased separately.
10 day pass

We will go to the doggy daycare and work with your dog Mon-Fri for 2 weeks. Focus will be on loose leash walking, place and sit, and we will work on some basic problem solving like sit for greeting and beginning boundary training. Includes 2 -30 minute virtual zoom lessons to teach you what we did. Fee does not include daycare rates, 10 day pass for that must be purchased separately at the facility.
15 day pass

We will go to the doggy daycare and work with your dog Mon-Fri for 3 weeks. Focus will be on loose leash walking, sit/stay, down/stay, place, and come away from a distraction (all on leash) Includes 3 - 30 minute virtual zoom lessons.Does not include daycare rates, an additional daycare pass must be purchased at the facility.
Board and Train
We will work with your dog during their stay and provide results, then teach you how to maintain the obedience. This is for obedience training only.
Holiday Express
7-10 day
Vacationing in Utah and want your dog to come stay with a world class nationally recognized trainer? In this program your dog will be our sole board and train for the week. You will receive exclusive attention to your training needs, including our "Trainer in your Pocket program and a handling lesson to show you what we accomplished during our time together. Holiday Express Supreme
2 weeks
This is one of our exclusive programs for discerning clients who want the best for their dog while they vacation. Your dog will be the only dog staying with us and will receive all our training focus during their stay.
Basic on leash
This program lasts 3 weeks and we will cover on leash obedience cues sit/stay, down/stay, come away from a distraction, loose leash walking, sit for greeting, and we will work on mild behavior issues where possible in he context of board and train. Then we will teach you how to maintain the training. Includes 3 private in home handling lessons, a full set of group obedience classes (in either Vernal or Roosevelt locations), and unlimited virtual follow up with our trainer in your pocket program.
Advanced Off Leash obedience
This is our "ultimate" Obedience training package. This program lasts 6 weeks and covers sit/stay, down/stay, come away from a distraction, heel, place, and we will work on basic problem solving issues as possible within our board and train program. All is done with the goal of in public and/or off leash control. Includes 6 handling lessons, unlimited practice in our Roosevelt group location or 2 sets of classes at our vernal location, unlimited virtual lesson follow up, unlimited virtual follow
